Once in a while when I am bored in concrete Singapore, I am falling back to my old desires. I always wanted to be either an artist or a soccer coach, even though I grew up with extensive handball playing and even coaching till in my late thirties, yes I liked soccer more.
Rainy season in Singapore is another “cruel” period to sustain in this city. Recently I got over it with drawing “Bar Maria”. “Bar Maria” is a must have been Bar when on holiday in Gomera, Gomera is one of the remoter and quainter islands of the Canary Islands.
I just tried to draw another view from Gomera. It was drawn from a picture send to me by friends making holiday in Gomera.
Some years back in 2003 or 2004 I met Steven. Steven was an Arts teacher. We went many times around places in Singapore, built up our easels and painted the scenery.
One of my best paintings ever is the view on Boat Quay from across the river.
